Stratham Memorial School has a student enrollment of 630+ children in grades
Preschool - 5. The 1997-1998 school year saw the last 6th grade class. 6th grade students
now attend the new Exeter Cooperative Middle School located in Stratham.
The teachers and staff at Stratham are dedicated to student growth and the educational achievement of all students. The majority of teachers have been teaching in Stratham for more than 15 years. Defined as a veteran teaching staff, many teachers present at a variety of workshops and conferences throughout the United States.
In order to provide an appropriate education for all students, an inclusion model is used here in Stratham. All students are actively engaged within classroom activities. Challenged students work with typical students in the classroom using a variety of methods and techniques to solve problems and learn from one another. Furthermore, adaptive technologies are used to give all students equal opportunities for learning.
Community Support
For the past five years The Stratham Memorial School has been a Blue Ribbon school based upon NHPIE (New Hampshire Partners in Education). Parents are an important part of the school community. Parent volunteers are often seen helping out in classrooms throughout the school. Also, before & after school activities are also conducted by parents and teachers as part of a variety of enrichment programs.
