The Stratham Police Department is dedicated to providing efficient, competent and unbiased service to the community while maintaining a high standard of integrity. The Stratham Police department is a 24 hour police department located at the Stratham offices at 10 Bunker Hill Avenue. The department's business hours are Monday - Friday 8:30AM to 4 PM. The police can be reached 24 hours by calling 911. The department consists of nine full time officers and 7 part-time officers, one prosecutor and one secretary. The department is maintained and directed by Chief Michael Daley followed by one Lieutenant, one Sergeant and one detective who investigates a variety of criminal cases.
The Town of Stratham is a Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) community. D.A.R.E. is a prevention program rather that an intervention program aimed towards fifth grade students. It is taught by a specially trained police officer, who is seen as a more reliable source of information due to the nature of the job. D.A.R.E. also aims to reach children before there is any drug involvement and assist them in making wise decisions. It teaches them life skills that will build confidence and self esteem to enable them to withstand negative peer pressure and seek positive alternatives.
