There are five members and two alternates on the Stratham Planning Board
who are appointed by the Board of Selectmen. The
responsibilities are to review proposals for ordinance changes, new ordinances or development of land within the town. In 1998 Stratham adopted its Master Plan which is designed to be a working document to guide
the community in making decisions that affect the land use and future development of the community. The Planning Board administers the land use and planning policies of the town. They also review development proposals for
compliance within the zoning ordinances, site plan review regulations and subdivision regulations, and reviews capital improvements plan.
