New Hampshire’s One-Stop Career Center System, NH WORKS, offers a Web site, www.nhworks.org, and job information centers providing workforce information for employers and job seekers. Services are delivered via the Web site and the centers through a coordinated effort from many state, federal, city, county, local, and supportive servi ce agencies called NH WORKS One-Stop Partners.

The Web site is a virtual NH WORKS Job and Information Center. Employer information available includes training, and education and information on: the economy and labor market, services and benefits, employment and labor laws, training for youth, hiring older workers and people with disabilities, and information from many agencies concerning starting a business. Employers can also post jobs and view applicant resume registrations when they link to an auto- matic job match system. Job seeker information includes: training and education, training for youth, supportive services and benefits information to help remove barriers to employment, and information on: military careers, the economy and labor market, employment and labor laws, services for older workers and veterans, and information for people with disabilities.

Job seekers can also link to an automatic job match system and post their resume registrations and view employer job orders. The system is password protected for confidentiality, and employers must register online using their state unemployment com- pensation tax ID number. Most services are free. Auxiliary sites include the state library, many city and town libraries, the State of NH Vocational Rehabilitation Regional Offices, some Community Action Association agencies, and the NH Community Technical Colleges. The centers within NH Employment Security are open weekdays, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. PCs are available to use free of charge to connect to the Internet for the workforce development informa- tion described and to link to other workforce sites.
